My name is Judy Bergman, and I believe there is a profound reason you have come here today.

My approach in counselling is holistic and strength-based, focused on fostering a deep awareness of the messages your body sends, the integral connection between body, mind, and spirit, and helping you navigate the complexities of life's stressors.

Whether it's challenges in work, relationships, grief, or anxiety, I work collaboratively with you to break these down into manageable pieces, exploring both changeable aspects and those that are more static. Together, we will work towards greater understanding, practical tools, and a change of perspective that can lead to effective solutions.

In my practice, I utilize a blend of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), enriched with talk therapy to open up and address your concerns. This eclectic mix is delivered with cultural sensitivity, compassion, and a trauma-informed approach, ensuring that growth, achievement, and enhanced well-being are within reach for each client. I also employ simple mindfulness exercises and gratitude journaling to slow the rush of an overflowing mind, bringing focus to the present moment and promoting overall calm.

My journey into counseling began later in life, after acquiring both my Bachelor and Master of Social Work with a Clinical focus. Bringing rich life experiences into my practice, I work predominantly with adults across their lifespan, helping them to thrive just as seeds scattered by the wind find new soil to grow.

I am committed to ongoing professional development and have completed training in the Grief Recovery Method (GRM).

My personal life is filled with the richness of family and experiences—from growing up as one of eight siblings in Surrey, England, to farming in Canada, and embracing the joys of family life with my children and grandchildren nearby.

In my downtime, I enjoy unraveling mysteries in "whodunnit" novels, daily walks in nature with my adopted Irish Wolfhound mix, and exploring new places with friends and family.
