Rebecca Hartford is a Registered Social Worker providing psychological counselling services at Maloney Elkassem Wellness in St. Albert, Alberta.
She provides Individual Counselling for adults who are experiencing struggles and challenges that have impacted their mental, physical, emotional, social and spiritual well-being. In addition to counselling services.
As a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker, Rebecca strives to create a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore insights for change, growth and healing. Rebecca believes in the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship and uses a person-centered approach to empower clients.
Her counselling approach draws from various modalities such as Solution Focused, Strengths Based, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness, which allows for flexibility based on the unique needs of each person and can support clients with improved well-being in these areas of concerns:

EDUCATION
Rebecca is a Registered Social Worker with a Masters Degree in Social Work from Dalhousie University. Prior to her Masters Degree she completed a Bachelor of Social Work Degree from University of Calgary.
Rebecca is a member in good standing with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
EXPERIENCE
For several years prior to joining Maloney Elkassem Wellness Clinic, Rebecca worked in a hospital setting supporting people impacted by cancer.
Rebecca also has experience working in addictions, mental health and Women’s Health Counselling.
She has supported and worked with adults from various cultural, socio economic and religious backgrounds with varied health conditions, gender identities and sexual orientations. She has worked extensively with various multidisciplinary teams consisting of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, physicians, occupational therapists, speech language therapists and physiotherapists.
Rebecca is in the process of completing the training to be a Canadian Certified Perinatal Mental Health Therapist.
