Jaw Pain

Jaw Pain? Here’s why you should consult the doctors at Maloney Chiropractic...

Jaw pain (or ‘TMJ’ pain as it is often called) is often the end result of trauma to the neck and head (as with whiplash or concussion injury). In it’s early stages, most cases of jaw pain result from mechanical dysfunction and irritation of the muscles and joint structures of the TM joint. This leads to inflammation of the joint structures and spasm or imbalance of the jaw muscles.

At Maloney Chiropractic, we offer a wide variety of treatment options tailored to treat your specific problems. In fact, our well-rounded approach allows us to successfully treat many cases of jaw pain where other treatments have failed.

Active Release Techniques (ART) soft tissue therapy, joint manipulation, Activator joint adjustments, Trigger Point therapy and other soft tissue therapies, jaw occlusion retraining exercises and stretches are some of the most common approaches that we use in alleviating headaches, though if it’s ever apparent that you need treatment beyond what we can provide, we can refer you to one of the many other health professionals that we trust.

We provide relief for many types of jaw, or TMJ, pain. If you suffer from jaw pain, you owe it to yourself to call us...
